Thunder Road Season Passes Available for 2008 Stock Car Racing Season

WATERBURY, VT Season pass tickets are now available for the 2008 stock car racing season at Barres Thunder Road. Orders may be placed by phone or at the tracks office in Waterbury. Like always, we are offering three types of season pass, said Thunder Road Administrator Tina Gallison. Gold, general admission, and child passes to Thunder Road will make great gifts for the upcoming holiday season, and we encourage race fans to purchase their 2008 season passes now before the late rush. General admission passes are $190, and will honored at all 18 action-packed stock car events at Thunder Road in 2008. Gold season passes are $250, and guarantee the pass holder a reserved seat at all 18 race meets. Child (ages 6-12) general admission passes are $50. Special events on the soon-to-be-released 2008 Thunder Road race schedule include True Value Modified Racing Series and Thunder Road Late Model Doubleheader 100s at the Mekkelsen RV Memorial Day Classic on Sunday, May 25, the CARQUEST Vermont Governors Cup 100 and 45th Annual Chittenden Milk Bowl, the M&M Beverage Enduro 200, and appearances by the American-Canadian Tour (ACT) at the Merchants Bank 150 and the Bond Auto Labor Day Classic 200. Thunder Roads traditional summer Thursday night events will be highlighted by the ACT Late Model division, and the NAPA Tiger Sportsman, Allen Lumber Street Stock, and Power Shift Online Junkyard Warrior classes. Dave Pembroke, Nick Sweet, rookie Bobby Therrien, and Bunker Hodgdon were the Track Champions in each division, respectively, in 2007.
