Cyr Looking to White Mountain for First American-Canadian Tour Win of Season

For Immediate Release                        ACT-081407-1

NORTH WOODSTOCK, NH Six-time American-Canadian Tour (ACT) stock car racing champion Jean-Paul Cyr of
Milton, VT is searching for his first main event victory of the 2007 season, and is a prime candidate for victory
in the Kancamaugus 100 at New Hampshires White Mountain Motorsports Park on Saturday night.  A four-time winner
at the beautiful ¼-mile oval track, Cyr has been oh-so-close to the winners circle in nearly every race this
season.
Through eight events, ACT Late Model Tour point leader Cyr has an amazing statistic of seven top-five
finishes, including six in the second- and third-place positions.  In his last outing at White Mountain in June,
Cyrs machine was heavily damaged in a qualifying crash.  With the help of many of his ACT Late Model Tour
competitors and his own Rick Paya-led Ehlers RV/Sticks & Stuff team, Cyr was able to not only return to action
later in the evening and qualify for the main event, but he rode the tough outside lane from 27th starting
position to finish third.  The performance has been regarded by many veteran observers as the comeback of the
decade.
White Mountain has been a pretty magical place for this team, and that race in June was incredible, said
Cyr, who has won at White Mountain Motorsports Park in each year since 2003.  Weve been this close to getting
a win too many times this season, we legitimately should have won three or four races by now.  We really want to
get that monkey off our backs and win at White Mountain this weekend.
Cyr will have to contend for the Kancamaugus 100 victory with cross-town Milton, VT rivals Brent Dragon
and Scott Payea, New Hampshire natives Rocket Roger Brown, Joey Pole Polewarczyk, Jr., and Randy Potter, and
Quebecs Patrick Laperle.  Dragon and Laperle are each former winners at White Mountain Motorsports Park in ACT
Late Model Tour competition, and Brown, Polewarczyk, and Potter have each seen past success in regular weekly
competition at the speedway.
Green flag qualifying action for the Kancamaugus 100 begins at 5:00pm on Saturday, August 18.  White
Mountain Motorsports Park is located on Route 3 in North Woodstock, NH, just 5 minutes from Interstate 93.  For

Dragon, Pole Head List of Contenders at White Mountain

For Immediate Release                                ACT-081707-1

NORTH WOODSTOCK, NH American-Canadian Tour (ACT) stock car drivers Brent Dragon and Joey Pole
Polewarczyk, Jr. enter Saturdays Kancamaugus 100 at White Mountain Motorsports Park at the top of the list of
potential race winners.  The pair finished 1-2 in their most recent appearance at the picturesque ¼-mile facility
in June.
Were looking forward to getting back to White Mountain, said Dragon, a veteran racer from Milton,
VT.  Jean-Paul Cyr has won a race here every year since 2003, and I dont believe anyone has ever swept both ACT
races at White Mountain in the same season.  It would be nice to stop Jeans streak and set our own record at the
same time with a win.
Dragon won the White Mountain 150 in June after an exciting battle for the top spot with Polewarczyk,
Randy Potter, and Ryan Vanasse.  He currently ranks fourth overall in ACT Late Model Tour point standings.
Hudson, NH driver Joey Pole Polewarczyk, just 18 years old, turned in what was his best career finish at
the time in second place at the White Mountain 150.  Just two races later, he raised the bar with his first
victory at Massachusetts Seekonk Speedway.  The youngster races with extra inspiration this weekend.
Were trying harder to win this race than any other so far, Polewarczyk said.  Our crew member, Eric,
lost his 17 year-old brother unexpectedly two weeks ago, and we want a win to dedicate to his family.  We usually
run well at White Mountain, and were making sure the car is right to get that win for Eric.  Hes a big part of
this team.
White Mountain Motorsports Park has turned into a community-strengthening place for ACT Late Model Tour
teams.  Dragon dedicated his June victory to fallen friend Mark Arsenault, while Cyrs team received overwhelming
support and help from competitors after a hard crash in qualifying.
(White Mountain) has been a pretty magical place, said Cyr, the six-time ACT Late Model Tour Champion
and current point leader.  With help from no less than eight ACT race teams, Cyr rebounded from his crash to
finish third on the heels of Dragon and Polewarczyk at the White Mountain 150.  He leads Scott Payea, Potter,
Dragon, and Rocket Roger Brown in point standings.  Polewarczyk sits in seventh place behind five-time ACT
Champion Brian Hoar.
Green flag qualifying action for the ACT Late Model Tour Kancamaugus 100 begins at 5:00pm on Saturday.
White Mountain Motorsports Park is located on Route 3 in North Woodstock, NH just five minutes from Interstate
