Now with all that out of the way.....Let's make some laps!
NORTH WOODSTOCK, NH American-Canadian Tour (ACT) stock car racer David Avery has turned many laps at White Mountain Motorsports Park, and he thinks that the next 150 will be the best ones of his life. Ive got the best race car Ive ever had, said Avery. Our last time out at White Mountain was the fastest Ive ever gone at the track. I want to win an ACT race, and I think it could happen next weekend. Avery, who grew up at the picturesque ¼-mile oval in North Woodstock, NH, is looking to continue the early- season trend of new ACT race winners in the White Mountain 150 at his home track on Saturday, June 30. Underdog drivers Randy Potter, Scott Payea, and Ryan Nolin have each earned their first career ACT Late Model Tour victories in 2007. The 26 year-old Avery got his start in the White Mountain weekly Late Model division as a teenager, and secured the 2000 championship on the former PRO Truck Tour with a victory at his home track. Avery has a pair of ACT Late Model Tour runner-up finishes as a driver and won four races as a car owner while sidelined with a back injury in 2006, but wants to take the next step behind the wheel with an ACT win at White Mountain. Jeff Taylor from Distance Racing Chassis came out to help us with the setup on our car, and we really found something, Avery said. Weve been running with the leaders in every race this year, but I never thought that the car was any good. Now that I think it is good, itll be hard to beat us as long as I do my job well in the drivers seat. The White Mountain 150 will see Avery will take on Potter, Payea, Nolin, and ACT Late Model Tour point leader Jean-Paul Cyr, each of whom has had past success at White Mountain Motorsports Park, on Saturday, June 30.
