Waterford Speedbowl News & Results Thread, Saturday May 26th 2007

It's a very warm, breezy, and partly cloudy day here in southeastern Connecticut, and we are getting ready to get news and results from the historic shoreline oval.  The Waterford Speedbowl hosts the Super Modifieds tonight along with the regular four divisions of racing.  We will bring you at least the podium finishes from the regular divisions, the full finish from the SK's (when available), and the winner of the Super Modified race.  Join us at about 7:30 pm when the first checker should be dropping.  See you then!

The first feature of tonight's festivities has been completed.  News from the track has only 10 Late Models showing up for tonight's event.  There were 21 SK's for the practice sessions, but Mike Gada packed up and went home, which left only 20 SK's to take the green in the feature.  Robbie Summers looks good in his Super Modified ride, being second fastest overall in practice, and then taking the win in his heat.

The Top Three Sportsman Finishers:

1. Bill Gertsch Jr
2. Dwayne Dorr
3. Al Stone III

The Late Models are taking the track now, we will be back with the podium finishers shortly.
