BARRE, VT Officials from Barre, VTs Thunder Road International Speedbowl are pleased to welcome back each the race tracks three divisional entitlement sponsors for another year of exciting stock car racing action. NAPA Auto Parts has enjoyed a long and successful relationship with Thunder Road and its parent company, the American-Canadian Tour (ACT), which began in 1991. NAPA will again sponsor the famed Tiger Sportsman division, Thunder Roads intermediate Vowered class, in all championship events in 2007. Allen Lumber Company continues its support of Thunder Roads entry-level 4-cylinder Street Stock division. Allen Lumber officially began its association with ACT and Thunder Road in 1988, and has supported regional stock car racing for over 20 years. Power Shift Online continues to build a growing and positive relationship with the extremely popular Junkyard Warrior division, a class made up of virtually street-legal 4-cyllinder race cars, piloted by wild and wacky drivers. Power Shift has supported the Warriors since their debut in 2003. The NAPA Tiger Sportsmen, Allen Lumber Street Stocks, and Power Shift Online Junkyard Warriors will begin their race seasons this weekend at the 9th annual Merchants Bank 150. The annual Merchants Bank Car Show and pit stop contest will be held in Downtown Barre City on Saturday, May 5 from 9:00am to 12:00 noon, followed by a parade through Barre to Thunder Road on Quarry Hill.
