The Oswego Speedway Kids On-Track program continues in 2007 with more exciting plans for members to take advantage of. The program, which is open to all kids in grades six and below, is free to enter. Because kids grow out of this program each year, it is necessary for 2006 members to re-register for the 2007 season. New I.D. Badges will be mailed out upon signing up for the program in 2007.
Instructions for parents and kids to become a registered user of the Oswego Speedway website and selecting enrollment into the Kids On-Track program can be found in the left margin of the website. Inclusion into the Kids On-Track program automatically results in receiving member newsletters throughout the season.
A major benefit of being in the 2007 Kids On-Track program is that members are the only fans admitted to the Oswego Speedway for free on a weekly basis. The Oswego Speedway eliminated student pricing for 2007 and all fans 16 and under will now be admitted for $2 except for Kids On-Track members. In addition to free weekly admission for the regular season, members will be able to use their I.D. Badges to purchase a Classic Week 3-Day kids pass for just $20 instead of the regular price of $35.
Program coordinator, Patty Dixon, will continue to select four kids each week for one of two different pre-race activities that will be scheduled. Constellation and Entergy will sponsor Pace Truck rides for four kids on May 13th, May 26th, June 9th, July 14th, August 10th and August 18th. Patty will also select four kids to race in the Oswego County BOCES-built Mini-Supermodifieds which will be used on May 19th, June 2nd, June 16th, June 30th, July 7th, July 21st and August 4th. The Mini-Supermodified sponsors for 2007 include Rabys Ace Homecenter, Carvels Ice Cream, Victory Lane Karts, Price Chopper and Staples.
Other weekly prize giveaways in 2007 will include a Cosmic Bowling Birthday Party from Lighthouse Lanes. A Kids Fresh Meal from Subway and a brand new bike from Galloway Century 21 and Murdocks Bikes & Sports. The annual Kids On-Track Cosmic Bowling Party will be sponsored by the Oswego Elks Lodge #271 and it will be held at Lighthouse Lanes on Saturday afternoon August 18th at 3:00.
Constellation and Entergy will sponsor two Kids Autograph Nights in 2007 on June 16th and August 4th. PathFinder Bank will again award a total of $250 in U.S. Savings Bonds to deserving members of the 2007 Kids On-Track program.
It is shaping up to be another great summer to be part of the Oswego Speedway Kids On-Track program. No fee to sign up, weekly activities, giveaways and free admission to the races are just the beginning.
Parents, be sure to sign up your children for the first time or re-register their user profile to include the Kids On-Track program for the 2007 season at the Oswego Speedway.
