Now with all that out of the way.....Let's make some laps!
Keith Shampine, the “original” member of Team Full Throttle, tested a Busch East car last week at the Tri-County Speedway in North Carolina. This was the first time the 22-year old Supermodified competitor has ever sat in a Stock Car, but Keith’s articulate approach to everything he’s raced found him to be a quick study in the car and his times were within 1/10 of a second of the car’s regular competitor John Freeman. Keith is now awaiting an open opportunity as he’d love to do some stock car racing in ’07 or ’08 but will continue to run his Supermodified at the Oswego Speedway as well. He has his 850hp lightweight open wheel racer in the final preparation stages and is excited about his chances to win a race and finish top five in points this year at the nationally-known speedplant.
