I recently heard that Burnham was getting out of the sponsorship thing. If this is true it's too bad, they've been a good solid BNS/WMT sponsor for a long time. NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour driver Alex Hoag is rumored to have signed a three race deal to run on the Busch East Series in 2006. In 2005 Hoag also competed in selected Whelen Modified Tour events.

A rumor circulating is that the NASCAR Grand National Division Bush East Series will begin the 2006 season at Greenville-Pickens in South Carolina.

According to Jim Hunter, Vice President of Communications and Regional Touring, the restructing of NASCAR Regional Touring Series in 2007 will allow NASCAR to focus more on the Grand National and Modified divisions.

Any how I thought about the increased strain on team budgets . More than one Northern team has folded or cut bach their schedule...

Whelen Modified Tour regular Donny Lia, was at the recent Busch North Series test session at NHIS in Ralph Solhem's #00 car, and is expected to compete in the upcoming BGNN event at NHIS.

Glad to see the BGNN heading back to LEE SPEEDWAY for their season opener . Should be a good show . Might have to check this one out , used to make thr trip from CT. with some long time friends . Now it is right down the road . And who can blame the track for holding out , they saved a bundle of money .
