Now with all that out of the way.....Let's make some laps!
"Radical" Rick Martin of Westport and Ray Parent of Tiverton, RI are the latest commitments to run a full season at the All-Star Speedway in Epping, NH in that track's Pro Stock series. The track, formerly called Star Speedway, has changed hands and the new track owner plans a major overhaul for the southern NH quarter-mile oval. Martin and Parent were masters of the Seekonk Speedway in previous seasons. It appears that they are both looking for new challenges for their Saturday night racing efforts. Another Tiverton, RI driver Charlie Rose, Jr. spent several seasons at the Star Speedway and took at least two NASCAR Weekly Racing Series titles there. Rose returned to the Seekonk Speedway a few years ago to the Pro Stock division and continues to be a contender every week. His race team is based in Norton.
