Biffle, McMurray to split one Brewco ride, Atwood back? Keller? in second ride?

From Jayski.com:

  • Brewco Plans for 2007 Being Finalized: Jamie McMurray and Greg Biffle will share Brewco Motorsports' #66 Ford [note: Rusty Wallace will run the #66 next year. This team may go back to the #37] in the Busch Series next season, team owner Clarence Brewer confirmed Saturday. A third driver could be used in the non-Nextel Cup companion races, though Biffle wants to race the road-course events in Mexico City and Montreal. Brewer said he still needs sponsorship to finish out the season for the #66, as Duraflame will not return. Duraflame was primary sponsor for 14 of the 35 races in 2006. Also, Brewer said the team has not decided on a driver for its #27 Ford. Casey Atwood replaced David Green at Richmond in September, but Atwood's best finish has been a trio of 17th-place finishes. Atwood has a "leg up" for the ride, Brewer said, but nothing has been decided. Jason Keller could be a candidate should Brewco decide not to bring Atwood back.(SceneDaily.com)(11-18-2006)

RE: Biffle, McMurray to split one Brewco ride, Atwood back? Keller? in second ride? Update: Atwood out

    From Jayski.com:

McMurray and Biffle to Split Brewco Ride: Nashville's Casey Atwood will not return to Brewco Motorsports this season, at least not as a full-time driver. The race team has announced that Cup drivers Greg Biffle, Jamie McMurray and Ward Burton will share time in its two Busch Series cars. They also will continue their full-time Cup duties. Team manager Todd Wilkerson said Biffle will run 11 races and McMurray 12 in the #37 [was the #66 last year]. Burton will run at least 20 in the #27. "It's all sponsor-driven," Wilkerson said. "Sponsors want to see Cup drivers in the cars." He said there is a chance a Busch driver or drivers could run some of the remaining races and Atwood could be in that mix.(Tennessean)(1-10-2007)
