LAKE SPEED only lead the points 1 time.......  and 1 race only


i need the year and race that this happened..... close book test,   a few guesses and i will drop hints

IT WAS THE YEAR.......  that lake speed cried during his best finish of 2nd place INTERVIEW..............  


remember,   lake took the points lead later in this season.........

crap,    i messed up,     it was the other way around..........  you are on the right track,


the year was 1985 


daytona was not the track im sorry.. my mess up........     the accual answer is 3 races later


 


final hint is............  dont throw ________ at glass houses

since this was a genuine brain teaser..... and no one got it without looking it up,  i appluad all of you......   heres for you history buffs...........


lake speed got 2nd place in the 1985 daytona 500 and it was at this event is where he cried during the CBS interview.......     richmond he scored a top 10 finsh.......   it was ROCKINGHAM "3rd race of the 1985 season" that he got the points for the 1st and last time in his career....    thanks for trying  :)
