Now with all that out of the way.....Let's make some laps!
Speedbowl General Manager Bill Roth has announced that Saturday’s rained out Double-Down Shoot-Out will be run on Saturday night, Oct. 7 with the next Sunday afternoon the rain date.
Roth said that season passes, both pit and grandstand, will be honored on Oct. 7. “The uniqueness of the race deserves a second chance,” said Roth.
The five track championship battles will still come to an end at “The Finale” on Sept. 23-24. Those battles continue Saturday night Sept. 9, two Sportsman features including the Aug. 19 make-up joining the SK-Modifieds, Late Models, Mini Stocks and Legends.
The SKs and Late Models will each run two 25-lap features at the Shootout. There will be two 15 lappers for the Sportsman and Mini Stocks. First feature cars finishing in the same lap will be inverted in the second event, the payoff based on the combined finish in both races.
