Modified driver Karl Hehr and a track worker were both injured in a serious accident during the running of a Modified qualifying race at the Lancaster Raceway Park. Hehr, made head on contact with the turn 2 pit gate and was airlifted to a Buffalo area Hospital with head and facial injuries. The track worker who was working the turn 2 pit gate was also injured, all racing was halted for the evening following the incident.
