JR Motorsports, owned by Dale Earnhardt JR. has made some major announcements.
1. The Navy will continue to sponsor the team through the 2007 season.
2. Shane Huffman who drives for JR Motorsports in the USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series will make his NASCAR Busch Series debut at Gateway International Raceway. The team hopes to field two Busch Series entries in 2007. One for current driver Mark McFarland and the second for Huffman. The team also hopes to have Huffman compete in four or five more Busch Series races later this season.
3. Jr Motorsports has hired Martin Truex Jr.'s cousin, Curtis Truex, to drive a Late Model Stock Car.
