Now with all that out of the way.....Let's make some laps!
Well here it is my first ever "Just My Opinion" for the NASCAR Busch East Series.
This basically has to do with all the new rules that will be in place for the 2007 season.
With the minimum age to compete on the Series dropping to 16, I beleive this Series would be the best avenue for any young driver with aspirations of competing in the Southern Busch Series or with dreams of making it to the NEXTEL (or whatever name it becomes next year) Cup.
The average NASCAR Late Model or Pro-Stock will cost about the same amount and will have NO television exposure. They also DO NOT race at any tracks the Cup or Southern Busch Series visit. For a 16-year-old driver to have this type of oppurtunity, I can not see it being passed up.
Another idea would be for tracks that host the Busch East Series to have special races for Rookies only. Give these new drivers a chance to learn the track before competing with the entire Series.
Finally tracks that are having problems with car counts and fans should consider hosting the BES cars on a weekly basis. With certain tracks having a hard time finding enough Modifieds to fill a field perhaps this new vision could be the answer.
Once again these are just my opinions. You may agree or disagree, I would love to hear what you think.
Thanx for reading. -WMT-
