On Saturday night June 17th, the New England Antique Racers (NEAR) will be joining the show on the Awesome Asphalt at Canaan Fair Motorsports Complex, Canaan, NH.

The NEAR cars are from the period prior to 1979 that featured some of best known modified drivers from Norwood Arena, Seekonk, Riverside Park, Beech Ridge, Catamount Stadium, the Danbury Fairgrounds, Thompson, Stafford, and almost every other track in New England. The club welcomes cars in a number of different divisions -- flatheads & 6 cylinder, coupes and sedans, overhead V-8, coupes & sedans compact bodied cars (Pinto, Vega etc.) and special interest cars. Some of the beautifully restored cars include the #2X of Bob Judkins, the #60 driven by Mario “Fats” Caruso, the #04 of Corky Cookman, and many more.

The NEAR cars will be joined by the PASS Outlaw Late Models in a 40-lap feature, the KIXX 100.5 Super Streets, Outlaw Minis, Pure Stocks, Minis, and Kids Bandits.

Adults are $10, Juniors, $8, Kids age six to 11 $4, and five and under are FREE. General admission gates open at 5:30 and racing starts at 7pm.
