Potrzebowski takes Chemung season opener for SST Modifieds

It took three tries, but the 2006 season opener finally took place at Chemung Speedrome. With favorable weather, a good field of cars and hundreds in the stands, all systems were go for the long awaited races. Feature winners included TJ Potrzebowski (SST Modified), Chris Daugherty (Super Stock), Gene Purvis (4 Cylinder), Jimmy Kostarelos (Legend), Jake Snell (Street Stock), and Jimmy Zacharias (Speedrome Juniors). The excitement of opening night sets up this weekend’s program, which includes the first appearance of two this year for the fast and furious USAC Ford Focus Midgets. They were a hit with fans last season with their close competition and nail-biting action. Racing resumes this Saturday at 6:30
