Teams lining up "subs" for stand alone events

From Jayski.com:

  • Teams Lining up Subs for Stand Alone Races: UPDATE: With drivers who race in both the Nextel Cup and Busch series facing three weekends of double duty at different tracks - Pocono-Nashville, Michigan-Kentucky, and Sonoma-Milwaukee - in June, busch Series teams are solidifying plans for drivers to help practice and qualify their cars. Aric Almirola will be the driver for Denny Hamlin's #20, while Cast Atwood will drive J.J. Yeley's #18, Joe Gibbs team president J.D. Gibbs said May 20. Brandon miller is still signed with Richard Childress Racing and likely would see time in one of its cars for Kevin Harvick and Clint Bowyer. Hank Parker Jr., who filled in for Carl Edwards last year, is a strong possibility to do that again.(NASCAR Scene)(5-25-2006)
UPDATE: Chip Ganassi development driver Kevin Hamlin is expected to be in the #41 for Reed Sorenson. AND: Randy LaJoie told Speed Channel during qualifying coverage that he would be in the #21 for Richard Childress Racing when needed during stand alone events next month.(5-25-2006)
