The Speedbowl has had 3 xtra-distant events for their 4 NWRS divisions since 1998 - Budweiser Modified Nationals - Pepsi 300 - Town Fair Tire Finale.  A triple crown, if you will...


1. Name the (8) drivers who've won all 3 triple crown races in one division during their career


2. Name the (2) drivers who've won all 3 triple crown races in one division during the same season


3. Name the (1) driver who's won all 3 triple crown races in two divisions during their career

Guess on question #3: Corey Hutchings Sportsman and Late Model.


Guess on question #2: Ron Yuhas SK, Corey Hutchings Late Model


Guess on question #1: Ron Yuhas SK, Eric Berndt SK, Corey Hutchings Late Model, Allen Coates Late Model, Jay Stuart Late Model, Ed Gertsch Sportsman, Keith Rocco Sportsman, Jeff Miller Mini Stock.

OWR - not too shabby


#3 - Corey Hutchings is correct


#2 - 0 for 2 - try again...


#1 - Corey (count twice per #3) - Miller (MS) - Coates (LM) - Stuart (LM) - Gertsch (SM)


Here's a couple hints to wrap it up:


No SK driver has accomplished this feat.  Ronnie U has 3 Finale & 2 Pepsi 300 wins, but no Bud Nats (last years' opener wasn't the Mod Nats if ya remember).  Berndt has 2 Mod Nats & 1 Finale.  Rocco won the 1st 2 in 2004, but Roger Perry took the Finale..


2 to go for #1 - and let's just say I'm personally a little dissappointed in the one of them ya haven't guessed yet...

OK fellas - here's the answer in full:


1. Name the (8) drivers who've won all 3 triple crown races in one division during their career


LM: Jay Stuart, Allen Coates & Corey Hutchings


SM: Corey Hutchings & Ed Gertsch Jr


MS: Jeff Miller, Phil Evans & my man 'chard


2. Name the (2) drivers who've won all 3 triple crown races in one division during the same season


LM: Allen Coates (1998) & Jay Stuart (1999) 


3. Name the (1) driver who's won all 3 triple crown races in two divisions during their career


Corey Hutchings LM & SM


As for your other guesses: 


Flash - TC has won 3 Pepsi 300's & the '99 Bud Nats, but never the Finale.  Bruce Thomas Sr only has (1) Finale win during his Saturday Mini Stock days.


O-dub-ya - "Moose" Douton won the Mod Nats SM30 ('99 & '02) and The Finale ('00) in the Sportsman and won both the Pepsi 300 & Finale in a Late Model ('00), but never all 3 in (1) division...
