NEETS Fans are ‘Buzzing’ over Upcoming April Fools Spring Races
St. Johns, Pa- The ABC Car Crushing Holiday Stock Car Series (HSCS) April 1st event presented by Jim’s Busy Bee Pest Control is looking spectacular for both drivers and fans who will be in attendance for the April Fools Day NEETS event at Mountain Speedway, which is located in St. Johns, PA. This will be the second points race for the NEETS HSCS regular four cyl. and 6/8 cyl. Divisions, and the very first points event for the new NEETS ‘TRUX’. The TRUX will run a 50-lap enduro and the other two division events will each consist of 100-lap races.
After taking wins at the NEETS season opener in January, the current point leaders are Joe “Millionaire” Jentile (‘04 and ‘05 NEETS champion) in the Cascioli Roofing 6/8 cyl division and Mike Mujsce, Jr in the Steel Seal 4cyl division. They will both attempt to maintain their lead through this next door to door, action packed event. Other NEETS regulars will surely try to take away the win, because in this series almost anyone can do well or win because of the "stock" rules.
Also on the card is a 50-lap enduro for the NEETS TRUX, which recently became the "Custom Classic TRUX" after signing a series sponsor, Custom Classic Trucks from Califon, NJ. The TRUX will have a six race series, along with the HSCS on chosen dates. It will have a point fund and trophies at the NEETS banquet with the champion being honored, along with the top ten in points, just like the other series.
The event sponsor is Jim’s Busy Bee Pest Control from Southampton, NY, which is owned and operated by Jim White, Sr. Jim has many give-a-ways planned for the fans, which include candy bags for the kids, a Barbie (for girl) and a large radio controlled car ( for boy )for two special children, if they should be the winners of an announced contest, plus tee shirts, sweatshirts and even more toy cars. “This is one of those times when my family and I can come out of the pits, get away from the race cars and show the fans that we love them”, noted White. “This track (Mountain Speedway) and the NEETS series have been wonderful, which is why we travel so far to get here and sponsor this event”.
Bartley is also hosting a FREE after race party for all the drivers and crews at the Crossroads Inn in Mountaintop, which will feature munchie foods and adult refreshments. Entertainment will be provided, including dance music and a karaoke session by the series DJ’s, DJ Neetz and Bill-E from 7:30 to 11pm.
Both Cascioli Roofing and Steel Seal recently signed with NEETS as the main division sponsors. They will join the series sponsor, ABC Car Crushing and NEETS TRUX sponsor, Custom Classic Trucks, for the entire season. All sponsor information can be found on the NEETS website (below).
Like last season, drivers from the two main series will receive credits toward a vacation package, or $1,000 in cash by a ticket pick at the annual banquet in December. Robin Vollmoeller (4 cyl.) and Alex Fletcher (6/8 cyl) were the lucky winners last season and chose the ‘on the spot’ cash option. Drivers must run at least 80% of the scheduled events in the series for contest eligibility. The NEETS HSCS will have many more added attractions and special money events for the series drivers this season, which will be announced as they’re added
As in the past, it is important to remember that all of these events are run "Rain, Snow or Shine" and never cancelled. All the information about the NEETS Holiday Stock Car Series can be found on the official website www.neetstour.net, or you can contact Billy by phone at 570-881-9591 after 6 PM. His email is billyb@neetstour.net
The races offer entertainment for the fans, along with participation events as an added special bonus. All of the Holiday Stock Car Series events are only $7 admission, which Billy donates $1 of that to a local charity. The charity this event will benefit is the Disabled American Veterans. Pit gates open at 9 AM and car/truck registration opens at 10 AM. The grandstands open at 12 noon. The first race will start at 1 PM
