Daytona NASCAR Modified Trivia

In 1978 the NASCAR Modifieds competed on the Daytona Road Course for the Modified 200 . Can you name the race winner and second place ?

Close SPD, but not correct. The Rapid roman is one of the two drivers. But where did he finish, and who is the other driver?

I know Richie won at Daytona with his Super Speedway car but I will have to research this some now.

Actually, that's how they finished right there. See every time Richie passed for the lead ol' DW simply shouted 'boggity, boggity, boggity' and as Richie slowed cause he was laughing so hard at such a stupid sounding chant, ol' DW slipped back into the lead.

Spd I spit my coffee i my monitor when I read that.


The correct answer was Waltrip in the #88 followed by Richie Evans in the #61.
