Officials of the True Value Modified Racing Series have been hard at work since the conclusion of the 2005 season conducting a series of winter meetings and preparing for the upcoming race car show circuit scheduled around New England. To date meetings have been held by series founder Jack Bateman with series officials, car owners and drivers to review the 2005 season, to discuss the new schedule for 2006 and to review and act on rules and procedures for the upcoming season. Bateman explained to the membership his plans and intentions looking ahead to the new campaign including a first ever visit to the Waterford CT Speedbowl and that his third year tour will sanction and officiate two non-point events at Seekonk MA and Thompson CT Speedways. “These two shows in Connecticut are a verification of our legitimacy” said Bateman referring to the TVMRS series making it’s first ever appearance in what has been labeled modified country. He said, “When we started out we had hoped it would come to this, I’m excited”.
