How about open trailers with only 1 tire rack being pulled by pick-ups and the only tools and spare parts your allowed must fit in the pick up bed. No spare motors, rears.... Most of these guys have more invested in their haulers and trailers than they used to spend to run a whole season. And when I say haulers & trailers I am not talking about the parts and inventory, just the vehicles.
Yes SPD, that is one thing that has always killed me about the Tour . You have guys with open trailers, and then you have teams with former Cup haulers.
Sometimes I don't know what to make of it . On the good side, there are more and more top notch teams forming. The number of teams capable of winning any race, in my opinion has increased. The car counts have slightly declined, but the quality of cars has increased. On the bad side, there are many guys who just love the Tour, but can not compete. Yes there are other Tours, but this is the original NASCAR Tour.
I don't know I miss the old ramp trucks myself.
