Now with all that out of the way.....Let's make some laps!
Bob Potter won a feature in the 1970s in a car he did not start the race in. what car did he get out of? what car did he get into and win? and for what driver did he replace and why.
Man, do I feel stupid. I was most likely there and Bob has always been a friend & one of my favorits and I honestly don't remember. But I will venture a guess.
Did Potter get into a wreck with the 110 and get into the 716 cause Jerry Glaude was also involved and hurt his arm and was unable to continue? Either the 716 or the 21 seems to sound right.
Your half right and so close that i will give it to ya. You see it was a hot summer night a the old bowl, the mods take the green and potter in the Fred Beaber famed #716 hits the flag stand hard and hits the right front wheel of Dick Watson in the Norm Kies #21, Dick's thumb got broke in the sterring wheel as it twisted with such force, but no damage to the car.Bob ran back out and jumped into the #21 and won.
