Now with all that out of the way.....Let's make some laps!
Wrecks in 2005: USA Today has some stats and articles about wrecks in 2005 Nextel Cup races, the drivers with the most wrecks: Drivers with the highest accident rate (minimum of 30 races) Name %. #15-Michael Waltrip 52.8% [#55 in 2006] #97-Kurt Busch 50.0% [#2 in 2006] #43-Jeff Green 47.2% [#0 in 2006] #9-Kasey Kahne 44.4% #10-Scott Riggs 41.7% [#10 Evernahm in 2006] #07-Dave Blaney 38.9% [#22 in 2006] #88-Dale Jarrett 38.9% #8-Dale Earnhardt Jr. 38.9% #22-Scott Wimmer 38.9% {?#4 in 2006?] #38-Elliott Sadler 36.1% (with 6 of the top 10 changing teams in 2006...)
There also was a, "least" wrecks list in the USA Today article and the guy at the top of the list was a little suprising to me because he kind of "flys under the radar" but Jeremy Mayfield with 5.6% with just 2 incidents all season, was 1st on the list you want to be on.
