Hemric to Focus on JEGS Tour Title, Parts With 79 WMT Team
Kannapolis, North Carolina racer Daniel Hemric has parted ways with the Hillbilly Racing team on the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour and will now focus on his career efforts in the full-fendered world, particulary a title run in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour for the remainder of the season. The 21-year-old began his tenure with the No. 79 operation in late 2011 and competed with the team in both the Northern and Southern Whelen Tours early in 2012. Hemric is currently leading the JEGS Tour points with two wins and a third-place finish in the three races this year.
