Unofficially Pete Brittian set fast time , but was DQ'd for altering tires, giving fast time to the 11x of Stuer . Two B Main were run with four drives qualifying from each .
Race one ; 1. 99 - Tomaino 2. 95 - Markovic 3. 12 - Blewett 4. 54 - Bohn. Tomaino Jr. was fifth.
The #14 TC was driving is the infamous "Bearmobile" Billy Bear Calicchio's car.
Curtis Truex Jr, is the son of former NJ racer Barney Truex, Martin Sr's brother. And for those wanting to keep score at home, that would make Martin Jr and Curtis Jr cousins's.
OWR, thanks for the info. I think that kind of stuff is interesting. Imagin if Curtis get the third ride for DEI. There would be a lot of heads turning when someone yelled "Hey Junior" at the race shop!
I noticed a lot of Jr's and III's in the Speed Bowl rosters this year. I wonder how many of them are actually 2nd orrd generation racers?
