Mcfarland to run Atlanta for Schrader

From Jayski.com:

  • McFarland to Make First Truck Start of 2005 Mark McFarland will make his first Truck Series start of 2005 in the #52 Chevrolet Vortec Max Engines Silverado fielded by Ken Schrader Racing and pushed by a Richard Childress Racing power plant. SpeedScrap and the ScrapShack, leaders in the motorsports photo scrap booking industry, will also adorn the entry as associate sponsors in the Easy Care Vehicle Service Contract 200 at Atlanta Motor Speedway. McFarland, who will have veteran Donnie Richeson as his crew chief, has ten previous Truck Series starts, however, none of those have been at AMS. McFarland's best finish of sixth came at Mansfield Motorsports Speedway in May of 2004. His last start came in August of 2004 at Nashville Super Speedway. McFarland is also competing full-time in the USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series for the Dale Earnhardt Jr.-owned JR Motorsports where he has one win, six poles and nine top-five finishes. McFarland will compete full-time in the NASCAR Busch Series in 2006. He will pilot the No. 88 Navy Chevrolet Monte Carlo, fielded by JR Motorsports, in his quest for the title. While the 27-year-old McFarland is technically a rookie, this will be his 11th NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series start. He also has nine NASCAR Busch Series starts, most recently in Tommy Baldwin Racing's rotating lineup of 2004. His average finish of 20th was the highest for the #6 entry.(JR Motorsports PR)(10-26-2006)
