WMT: Sources have informed Speed51.com that NASCAR has taken at least the engine from the winning Modified of Ryan Newman today at New Hampshire Motor Speedway for further investigation. 51 has reached out to NASCAR and is awaiting further details.

WMT: Ryan Newman has been disqualified from victory in the FW Webb 100 NASCAR Whelen Mod Tour event at New Hampshire, NASCAR announced today. The team was found to be in violation chiefly of rule 20D-5.9P (the intake manifold ports did not completely seal to the cylinder head ports. The use of metal shim-type intake manifold gaskets is not permitted) of the 2011 NASCAR rule book. More to come on Speed51.com.
