Now with all that out of the way.....Let's make some laps!
With the rain apparently continuing through this whole weekend, it doesn't look like TIS will get in the Twin 100's on Sunday either. The announcement was that if any or all of the race was rained out, they would carry over racing on Monday, Oct 10th 2005 as it is Columbus day and a federally observed holiday. How many "normal" people really have monday off? Is that a fair rain date for the fans? The lucky thing is that most fans do not have their grandstand tickets yet, and probably will wait to purchase them until TIS has a concrete date set for the rescheduling of the race.
Talked to someone in the camping area yesterday afternoon who said there a lots of campers already in the parking lot. I am sure many will stay and enjoy dinner at the clubhouse this evening even if the races don't run. Certainly won't be a weekend conducive for bonfires and tent camping though. What will the Cooks' do? I am sure they will find a way...
