What car was he driving?

They run restrictors correct? If so have they reduced the size since Mike's record? Just curious.

Farmer Phil was running the tour back when they 1st tested at NHIS and he says they had windows at first and were very slow. I believe it was Reggie that had his windows removed and went out and then they were to fast according to the officials. I believe over 150, but you know about bench racing, lol. Then they restricted the motors down to something they (NASCAR) could live with.

Wonder how the super mods would go up there?

Spd, they actually had a "demontration" race with the Supers at NHIS in the mid 90's. They had some of the top runners there, but with less than 10 cars it wasn't what you would call a real race, but I remember we thought the wings were going to snap off they were tilted back so far when they stood on throttle on the frontstretch.

Remeber that Open . I think it was Bentley Warren who said they would have to bring body bags to that race if they ran a full field of supers . but man was that test a site to see .

As for the car question Mayor . I am ALMOST possitive it was in Art Barrys #21 .

Wish I would have seen that test, must have been something to witness.

The mods at NHIS is the best racing I have ever seen live. But the most spectacular cars I've seen live would have to be the World of Outlaws at Lebonen Valley.

Just talked with Phil and he said Reggie went out with no windows & no restrictor plate and went (top speed) around 180mph. He ran a few laps came in and NASCAR said ok, based on that put these plates on and we recommend going up 10 steps in jet to start with!

The supers with no restriction should have been at or over 200 I'd guess.

LOL. Yeah the NHIS Modified racing is secong to none . Richmond was great racing also . And Nazareth . I hope that Nazareth realy does re-open , would be great to have the Mods on another big track . And Richmond really needs to get the Modifieds back as well .

The Oultlaws are sick at "The Valley" I have gone the last 4 years straight.
