Now with all that out of the way.....Let's make some laps!
What a gorgeous day for the 300! Couldn't have asked for a more perfect weekend here in New England. The days festivities have begun with an exciting Late Model feature with Charlie Bailey III wrestling the lead away from Rick Gentes on the last lap or so for the win.
However, Rick Gentes was disqualified for refusing post race tech inspection, moving Jeff Zuiedema up to 2nd with Corey Hutchings 3rd
The Sunoco Modifieds are running now and we will bring you the results from their feature as soon as the checker drops.

The Pro Stocks round out todays regular weekly divisions portion of the 300, and the top 5 were:
Ron Smith
Wayne Dion
Norm Wrenn
Jeff Zuidema
Todd Owen
The support divisions have all run their features and now we move on to the highly anticipated return of the Thompson 300 in it's original format. No one has better coverage than modseriesscene.com's forum for the WMT Modifieds, and we will be watching their coverage along with most everyone else who can't attend the race in person. Just head to their www.modeseriesscene.com forum and go to the Live Race Report section for an every few lap live coverage of the race.
Thanks to our site septaganarian and the wonderful "ticket people", J & D, who helped us with all the regular TIS division coverage this weekend. We appreciate all your dedication.

We just got the best news from the track! And wmt, I know that you will absolutely love this info as much as I did.
On display in the midway this afternoon is a big beautiful all Red brand new Modified with the #36 and the name Mike Ewanitsko emblazoned on the car. Yup, that's right Mike is returning to competition this Thurday afternoon up in Loudon New Hampshire! They will be practicing the car and if it is as good as expecting they will attempt to qualify for the Loudon Tour Show. This is great news for the WMT and we wish Mike and crew the best of luck. We certainly have missed Mike's presence in the WMT.

Well apparently my old teams trouble continues as Jim Storace reportedly has been black flagged on lap 20 for leaking . This is according to the MSS live race report.

NASCAR MODIFIEDS...WHERE IT ALL BEGAN. LET'S REMIND NASCAR OF THEIR ROOTS.
Have to add a great GREAT job by the #71 team. First WMT race of the season (they became regulars of the TVMRS) and they came home 8th. Bob Polverari is going to retire for good at the end of this season, so what a great way to end. Nice job Bob, Rick, Rusty, Bubba and all the rest of the guys!!!!!
Yeah, great racing this weekend at TIS.... Awesome weather too! It was especially good to see Mike Ewanitsko there with his new ride. Pretty cool to see his name being applied to the roof! Hope all goes well on Tuesday Mike...
