Now with all that out of the way.....Let's make some laps!
The Thompson 300 will see another change in format this season . Last season the event was run in three seperate 100 lap segments . this year the event will have an half-hour break at the halfway mark . While this is better than last years format , I think the event should go back to a true 300 lap event .

yes it should be 300 laps no breaks or anything but 300 laps is alot for those drivers and the crews have to be on their game to make great pit stops for position last year was terrible with the three 100 lap races.
The three race format was O.K. , but it will never equal the drama and anticipation that the "true" 300 provided . It defintely is a strain on both drivers and crews , but I believe they would all like to see the race return to it's original format . I also would like to see the 50 car starting field and the return of the 50 lap non-qualifiers race .
