ACT ANNOUNCES FIRST INVITEES TO NHMS INVITATIONAL II
For Immediate Release - ACT 083010-50
Waterbury, VT The American Canadian Tour (ACT) has announced the first group of invitees to the second annual ACT Invitational to be held Saturday, September 18, 2010. The regions greatest triple header of the year at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway will have the ACT Invitational joining the NASCAR Whelen Modified division and the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in an event with added laps and additional teams for the 2010 version.
The second ACT Invitational is one of the most anticipated events of the year for short track teams from throughout New England and the provinces of Quebec and Ontario. We had two great days of testing this month, with over 70 teams spending two days at the Magic Mile. Now the hard part of determining who will make up the 43-team roster begins. This first group is mostly made up of those that have gotten invited by winning races in 2010 or a few at large bids for those that are having outstanding seasons and have been supporters of ACT racing, said Tom Curley, President of the American Canadian Tour.
The following is a list of the first 20 teams that have been invited to participate in the second ACT Invitational at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Saturday, September 18, 2010. The additional 23 teams will be announced on Tuesday, September 06, 2010 and the final few on Monday, September 13, 2010:

The next event on the American Canadian Tour is over Labor Day weekend with the Bond Auto Labor Day Classic 200 at Thunder Road Speedbowl in Barre, VT. This traditional summer closing event will award a starting spot in the ACT Invitational to any new winner of the event. Post time Sunday, September 05, 2010 is 1:30pm.

NHMS ACT INVITATIONAL ANNOUNCES MORE 2010 INVITEES
For Immediate Release - ACT 090710-52
Waterbury, VT The American Canadian Tour (ACT) has announced another round of invited teams who have been invited to participate in the second ACT Invitational to be held at the regions largest sporting complex, the New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) on Saturday, September 18, 2010. The event will be held as one of three preliminary events leading to the Sunday, September 19th first Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Championship. The ACT teams will join the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour and the Camping World Truck Series in a spectacular triple-header event on Saturday, September 18.
The first group of ACT teams, selected a week ago, represented the winners of 2010 championship events and track champion candidates with a few at large selections. This announcement is primarily teams from an at large pool who participated in a test and tune session last month at the Speedway. This group represents sixteen (16) more teams in the selection process. This has been one of the most difficult jobs I have had in the racing business. We had 71 teams test and they all did a great job. They really are all deserving of being part of the 43 team starting grid. That is the problem; there are only 43 spots for 71 worthy teams, said Tom Curley, President of the American Canadian Tour.
The following group will join initial invitees, Brian Hoar, Joey Polewarczyk, Jr., Karl Allard, Patrick Laperle, John Donahue, Eddie MacDonald, Guy Caron, Brent Dragon, Ricky Rolfe, Donald Theetge, Dan McHattie, Alex Labbe, Austin Theriault, Miles Chipman, Randy Potter, Nick Sweet, David Pembroke, Dennis Spencer, Jr., and Mark Hayward.
4ME Brad Babb Windham, ME 17ON Justin Holtom Ottawa, ON

16NY Mark Lamberton Mooers Forks, NY 94ME Shawn Martin Turner, ME
The next event on the American Canadian Tour is the Fall Foliage 300 at the Airborne Speedway in Plattsburgh, NY. Many teams from both the ACT US and the Serie Castrol will be competing in the longest event of the year. The traditional fall event will award another possible invitation to the NHMS event. The final eight (8) Invitational positions will be announced on Monday, September 13, 2010.
For additional information contact the ACT office at 802.244.6963 or media@acttour.com
Waterbury, VT The final eight (8) teams have been notified that they will be invited to attend this coming weekends second annual ACT Invitational at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, NH. The American Canadian Tour (ACT) completed the final qualifying event at the Airborne Speedway in Plattsburgh, NY Sunday, September 12, 2010 and several teams who were on the short list locked in several of the final spots.
The final invitees include a newly crowned Champion at the Oxford Plains Speedway (OPS), Tim Brackett, and another OPS seven (7) time track champion, Travis Adams. Quinny Welch locked in his invite by winning last Saturday nights weekly event at the White Mountain Motorsport Park in North Woodstock, NH. Welch took over a more comfortable lead from both Stacy Cahoon and his son Tyler. The three have battled all summer for the WMMP title, and all have attended the test and tune sessions at NHMS. Welch gets the nod for 2010 after losing the title in 2009 by a single digit number on the eve of the inaugural invitational. TJ Watson and Jamie Fisher received at large invites for their year-long participation on the US Tour and Thunder Road weekly racing respectively. Rounding out the final invited teams is Scott Payea who has been a title contender for many years on the ACT US Tour and David Michaud from Quebec who literally raced his way into the Invitational with an at-large bid following the Fall Foliage 300 at Airborne Speedway.
One of the most popular and most successful drivers in the 20-year history of NHMS will complete the field of 43 invited teams. Running a part-time schedule Brad Leighton used the 300-lap Airborne event to lock up one of the final invitations.
This has been a very difficult process, said Tom Curley, President of the American Canadian Tour. We had a group of 15 drivers on the short list going into the final event before this weekends Invitational. I think we have assembled a very good field of 43 teams to represent us at NHMS this coming Saturday, and I know there are some teams that could have joined them. That makes this a very tough day. The bottom line is that the fans this Saturday will get to see some of the best short track racers in the region put on a great race, and I think this group will do just that, concluded Curley.
The previously announced thirty five ACT teams (see complete roster below) will be joined by:
03ME Travis Adams Canton, ME
04ME TJ Watson Cundys Harbor, ME
18VT Jamie Fisher Shelburne, VT
40QC David Michaud Blainville, QC
55NH Brad Leighton Center Harbor, NH
60ME Tim Brackett Buckfield, ME
78NH Quinny Welch Lancaster, NH
89VT Scott Payea Milton, VT
The ACT Invitational is scheduled as part of a triple-header at the NHMS, along with the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour and the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series this Saturday, September 18, 2010. For additional information contact the ACT office at 802.244.6963, media@acttour.com, or nhms.com.
