Whelen Engineering continues to prove they support the NASCAR Modifieds . First becoming the title sponsor of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour , then the NASCAR Southern Modified Tour , they have now annouced they will sponsor the Modifieds history making return to Martinsville .
The Whelen 300 will be the "first ever" race run under the lights at the historic 1/2 mile track . The race will be a combination race , with cars from both the NASCAR Whelen and NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tours .
The race is a two-day event Labor Day Weekend , and is expected tro draw over 70 of the best NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour drivers in the country .
