Now with all that out of the way.....Let's make some laps!
On a hot and breezy, (but cooler than yesterday), evening in the rolling hills of eastern CT this Regular Thursday night show at the Thompson International Speedway, sparks are flying on the track and in the infield area as well. During a rough and tumble Late Model feature, Corey Hutchings spun and lay stopped sideways at the end of the frontstretch with a big target on his driver's side door. Marc Curtis slammed into him destroying both cars. Eyewitnesses tell us that the impact was tremendous, but thankfully both drivers escaped the wreck virtually unscathed, but obviously shaken.
After the feature was over a scuffle between unidentified crewmembers, of unrelated teams from the Late Model Division, (it appeared to have been the #36 and #01 teams) got into a shouting match, and there MAY have been some pushing and shoving that carried on into the paddock area.
Late Model Division Top Five Finishers:
Dennis Perry
Marc Palmisano
Charles Bailey III
Marc Jenison
Bobby Grigas
TIS MODS:
About as much action in the TIS Mods this evening with the first real wreck of the year in the TIS Mods taking out the #28 car. Only 8 cars were in this feature and the winner was Roger Larson in the #80.
Thanks to our friend who never waivers....csg! Who despite a telecommunications snafu on our end, made sure to get us these results to bring to you. We are in his debt!
Back with more shortly......
