New England Racing Family Patriarch Henry Shaw Passes Away

The patriarch of one the most notable Northern New England racing families, the Shaws, has died. W. Henry Shaw Sr., 76 of Bridgton Maine, formerly of North Conway, NH passed away on March 7, 2010 in Lake Placid, FL, following a courageous battle with cancer. Shaw owned cars on the old Coors tour and the Strohs Tour had with drivers that included his son Dale, Robbie Crouch, Dick Glines and Al Hammond.
Shaw was the father of 1994 NASCAR North champion Dale Shaw and Henry Shaw Jr - a former car owner and driver at Oxford Plains Speedway (ME). Shaw's grandchildren include K&N Pro Series East and Super Late Model driver D.J. Shaw, former Oxford racer Henry Shaw, III, PASS Modified driver Andy Shaw and PASS Modified car owner Crystal Shaw Weir. Speed51.com offers our thoughts and prayers to the entire Shaw family.
