(Naples, ME – July 6, 2005) Defending PASS champion Johnny Clark of Farmingdale, ME, driver of the #54 Clark’s Cars and Parts Monte Carlo, got a call Tuesday from Roush Racing, Inc. asking Johnny to audition in what has become known as the “Gong Show” for a ride in the Craftsman Truck Series for the 2006 season.
Johnny and 24 other finalists out of over 1600 applicants will race at the short track at Martinsville, Va. and the one mile super speedway at Darlington, S.C. The Discovery Channel will carry the entire competition in 13 episodes this fall.
.Johnny applied last year, but didn't make the final cut. He applied again after he got a phone call last month from Roush Racing asking why he hadn't applied again this year.
