Naples, ME – June 30, 2005) PASS Racing, Inc. President Tom Mayberry announced today that TAT/Link-Belt Excavators of Raymond, ME will be presenting the PASS Firecracker 150 portion of the New England Dodge Dealers Day at Oxford Plains Speedway, Oxford, ME on Sunday afternoon July 3rd at 5pm.
In addition, Cole-Man’s Concrete Foundations of Oxford will be the sponsor of the much anticipated first appearance of the exciting new open-wheel PASS Modifieds at Oxford Plains Speedway on Sunday.
With the TD Banknorth 250 only a month away, many of the best drivers in the Northeast and Canada will be on hand Sunday to see what they have for the tough Oxford 3/8-mile oval and the Infinity Business Group sponsored PASS regulars in preparation for the big July 31st race.
The TAT/Link-Belt Excavators PASS 150 on Sunday at 5pm is very important to all the PASS teams in a very tight point’s race. They can’t look too far ahead, but they will be making notes for the end of the month and the TD Banknorth 250, while some of the visitors will be using this race as a tune up for the 250.
In addition to last week’s winner in Nova Scotia and Oxford legend, Mike Rowe, who may be getting hot at the right time, and Cassius Clark, who won the Roy’s All Steak Hamburgers Triple 50s at Oxford on June 11th, Alan Wilson, who put on quite a show driving the outside in the Triple 50s, and perennial front runners Johnny Clark, Larry Gelinas, and Dale Shaw will also be on hand along with Pete Frappier and Tony Ricci in their first PASS appearances of 2005.
And don’t forget Tracy Gordon who would probably trade some of the over $66,000 he has won in the TD Banknorth 250 over the years to move up just one position. He was second in both 1997 and ‘98 and third in 1995. Of course, you can’t forget that Ben Rowe will be attempting to join Dave Dion and Ralph Nason as three time winners of the 250 and join Nason as the only winners of three in a row, but Ralph will be in town Sunday too as he looks to prepare for number 4.
The PASS teams will be joined by Oxford Pro stock regulars like Ricky Rolfe, the Whorffs – Bill Jr and Jeremie – Gary Drew, Andy Shaw, and a host of others in 150 green flag laps of action.
The racing action will start with PASS time trials at 4pm followed by a full evening of racing action at 5pm with the PASS Modifieds and the Oxford Lee Auto Mall Late Models, Mini Stocks, Strickly Stocks, and Limited Sportsman
