Drivers Chris Pasteryak and Matt Hirschman are set to make their NASCAR Whelen Modifierd Tour debuts this Saturday night in the Whelen 150. Chris is the son of Charlie and nephew of Carl , both longtime Modified Tour competitors . Fresh off a second place finish in the Bud Nationals 150 lap SK modified event , Pasteryak will make his Tour debut in a family owned car .
Matt Hirschman son of defending Whelen Modified Tour Champion Tony , is fresh off a win on the R.O.C. Modified Tour . Hirschan took down the win at the Wyoming County International Speedway .
Both drivers come from families with extensive knowledge and should be welcome additions to the Whelen wars .
With more and more second generation drivers coming up through the ranks , the future of Tour racing looks brighter and brighter .
