The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour returns to the 1/3 mile shoreline oval Saturday , for the running of the Whelen 150 . The event caps of a busy two days for the Tour title sponsor . On Friday June 24th Whelen Engineering will host an Open House from 4 - 6 P.M.The public is invited FREE of charge. Several teams from the Tour will have their cars on display . This event will give Whelen employees a chance to learn more about the sport their employer sponsors , and Tour teams drivers and fans the chance to learn more about Whelen . On Saturday Whelen is hosting a family night out for their employees and families , complete with race tickets , at The Speedbowl.
Anyone in the area should visit the Open House and show their support of the Tour's new sponsor . Whelen continues to show their strong support of Modified racing .
