Now with all that out of the way.....Let's make some laps!
Not even a hint of rain in the forecast for tonight's scheduled events at the Waterford Speedbowl. Thank God, because the track need some racing and so do the competitiors and fans. Car count is down for the SK's slightly but probably only because the WMT (Eric Beers on a roll with fast time prior to redraw) is running across the sound at the Riverhead Raceway tonight. The SK's will start a field of 23 cars, they lost Frank Mucciaciaro to engine woes earlier in the day, and he is not figured to be able to compete.
The feature events from tonight's program are underway, with the Sportsmen having completed their feature and the Legends on the track now.
Sportsmen Feature Top Five:
Dan Darnstadt
Al Stone
Roger Perry
Joe Curisio
Jim Proccocini
We will bring you more LIVE podium results as they happen from the WSB!

Jeffrey Paul was victorious in the Legend Feature this evening with the #52 and #32 second and third respectively. Due to the Mods coming out on the track I had a hard time hearing the names, and when I checked the WSB site Legends roster, the page was under construction so I was unable to get that information. If anybody watching this thread knows who these guys are, please post their names. Thank you.
Shortly, the SK Mod Finish!

Apparently many of the fans were close to riot tonight when they heard that every Beer stand would be closed during tonight's events! You heard it right folks, fans were unable to purchase beer at the Waterford Speedbowl. Apparently, rumor has it that the Liquor Permit has expired and was not renewed due to the pending sale. This is only rumor but has not been confirmed or denied by Waterford Speedbowl management. We just bet that they didn't check scanner bags tonight at the gate or there wouldn't have been many in the stands! I'm sure they will be forced to proceed to renew that Liqiour License soon.
Beer and Nascar, synonymous....

Tonight's event has completed, and it is not quite 9:00pm. After hearing the news of no Beer sales tonight, I can imagine the management was only hoping for an early night.
Mini Stock Feature Results:
Joe Godbout III
Phil Evans
Bill Leonard
Danny Fields
Chris Williams

Yes, I was at the Speedbowl for the first time this season! *cue cheers and applause* I went as far as the SK feature before I went home.
Before I forget, I had some TOWN AFFILIATION at the track as well! One of the Legends cars is driven by a friend of my mom's...he lives down the street from me. His name is Frank Cardile (#12). He finished 11th. Not too shabby, I would say so! :)
NO BEER??? Boy can they do anything more to make sure the place closes down . Atrack that is desperate for money needs to have its number 1 money maker . Way Not to go Terry .

from my vantage point inbetween turns 3 and 4, it looked like things got backed up near the front and cars got together on the backstretch. ron got turned into the outside wall and had to be towed off, but the team got it back out to finish hte race, in 18th.
