(Naples, ME – June 1, 2005) Tom Mayberry, President of PASS Racing, Inc., announced today that PASS has entered into an agreement with Unity Raceway to sanction the $12,000 to win Hight Chevrolet/Coca Cola/Budweiser/ Sunoco Unity 250 on June 17 – 19, 2005 as a PASS point’s race.
Because this race is being added to the 18-race schedule, PASS licensed competitors who enter the Unity 250 will be allowed to drop their worst finish of the 2005 season for the year-end points.
In making the decision to count the Unity 250 as a PASS points race Mayberry said, “It’s important for racing – the competitors, the promoters, and the fans – that we all support the big races like the Oxford TD BankNorth 250, the Atlantic CAT 250 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, the Thompson 100 Shoot-Out, the Pullen Heavy Industries PASS 400 Weekend at Beech Ridge, and the Hight Chevrolet/Coca Cola/Budweiser/ Sunoco Unity 250 because the promoters of these events and their sponsors are putting a lot on the line for us to race and we have to do our part to make these events successful.”
