BARRE, VT The 50th Anniversary Season Celebration at Thunder Road International Speedbowl will continue with next weeks doubleheader. The action will begin on Thursday, August 13th with Vermont ACE Hardware Dealers Night featuring the Tiger Sportsmen Tri-State Series 100. It will be the third and final event on the Tri-State Series 2009 schedule. The Late Models, Street Stocks and Junkyard Warriors are also on the stock car racing card. Post time is set for 6:30pm.
The doubleheader will continue on Friday, August 14th with the Pepsi Night make-up event. Fans that bring their ticket stubs from the Thursday night event will receive an admission discount on Friday (Adults $5, Kids under 12 free). Immediately following the racing will be a 50s/60s sock hop, costume contest and hoola-hoop contest. All fans are invited down to the pit area for the festivities and 50 cent drinks and hot dogs from Als concession stand. Post time is 6:00pm.
The season is winding down so dont miss out on all the fun next Thursday and Friday at Thunder Road International Speedbowl.
Also this Sunday, August 9th is the 25th Annual M&M Beverage Enduro rescheduled from August 2nd. Over 100 cars have already entered, including Barre Mayor Thom Lauzon. Come watch 250 laps of mayhem with the winner walking away $5,000 richer. Post time is 6:00pm.
