Now with all that out of the way.....Let's make some laps!
It's that time again! Friday the 13th, and the weather couldn't be more gorgeous although a bit chilly in Stafford Springs. Tonight is the first Friday night in a while where there is no threat of rain and the first feature has already been put into the history books.
Limited Late Model Results:
Michael Bennett
Eric Grant
Andrew Durand
There was the same amount of cars as in previous weeks, wondering if there are any more competitors still waiting in the wings. Between 6 and 8 cars a week does not a division make. The top 2 looked identical last week, although Michael Bennett was disqualified after tech for rules infraction. They must have gotten that squared away, but we will see.
SK notes: 25 cars are on the entry list for tonights main event, with Adam Norton being the newest face to join competition in the SK's. Certainly a much better showing than last week, although 3 cars went home destroyed prior to the feature last Friday night. Apparently every car made it through practice and heats.
The Late Models are up next, and I am headed off to open our LIVE Friday night chat. Please join us for LIVE results from the features tonight from Stafford Motor Speedway. Just click on the link below, and login or check the guest box and put in a nickname. Simple and painless, chat or lurk, but get the info LIVE!
The SK's took over 50 minutes to complete their feature. It wasn't that there were alot of bad wrecks says an eyewitness, just sloppy racing. Guys running over eachother, and some motor problems. Donny Lia and Doug Coby had a altercation that relegated them both to worse than top 8 finishes.
SK Podium
Todd Owen
Ted Christopher
Eric Berndt
Jeff Baral
Llyod Agor, after having such a great start to the season, had a spin and limped around in the back finishing unofficially 14th one lap down.
Woody Pitkat had a flat tire.
Chuck Docherty may have blown a motor.

Limited Late Models: Once again. That's all I can say. I'm pretty sure there's something under that car that the officials don't see. I'm wondering if they'll see it one week. But another win in Bennett's lap.
Late Models: Nice green to checkered race. And great to see Butler get that green car in victory lane last night. (I'm not too fond of second and fourth, but that's just my opinion.)
SK Modifieds: Both my mom and I thought that Owen had something going on with that car...and it proved last night. But if he cheated, that meant Christopher was going to win, and that just wouldn't be nice. So I'm glad that Owen won.
DARE Stocks: Left early, so didn't catch the end of the race. I'm happy to see that Newman won, so congrats to him. Hope he wins another one before the end of the year.
And those are my takes. Just to let you know, Friday the 13th was just a bad day for me. I fell head over heels for the SKs (literally) after the feature. I'm coming down the hill near the Handicapper's Booth, and I just nosedive down the hill. I got this killer mark on my elbow, but I'm fine. Just goes to show you that some people don't have any luck on a night like that...
Well 22 SK's are better than 0 , but still a lacking field foe The HOME of the SK Modified. Seems to me most other tracks running SK type cars have a much better field . This is just my opinion and evry one has one . SEE YA AT THE RACES .
Let me say it was nice to finally go to a race and get to just watch!!
With that, Yes Brat Willie's car broke and he didnt start the race. I was amazed it took 1/2 hour to go 13 laps I dont think that is solely the drivers fault though.. Long time with "clean-up"
Mandy - Curious as to what makes you think "soemthing was up" with Todd's car?

I just thought something was up with Todd's car because it seemed to be a little faster than usual. On any given week, you would have seen TC power past the current leader and win the race, but something wasn't right when he didn't have enough power to catch up to Todd.
Well, i heard that Teddy's crew is putting a lot of emphasis on the Tour car, and therefore less on the SK. as the run got longer the tighter the car got, and with the last half of the race green, Todd was able to pull away. it should be interesting to see how Teddy does this weekend in the 150 in his old CD chassis.
