George Brunnhoelzl, III (No. 28 Oval Speed/Fibrwarp/PT Ford) won his second career Coors Light Pole Award during qualifying for the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified 150 at South Boston Speedway Saturday afternoon. Brunnhoelzl, III qualified on the pole with a time of 14.778 seconds (97.442).
Burt Myers (No. 1 Capital Bank Ford) qualified on the outside pole and Tim Brown (No. 83 Hayes Jewelers/K Food Stores Chevrolet) followed in third. Andy Seuss and J.R. Bertuccio completed the top five.
Following the redraw of the top six qualifiers, Bertuccio will start on the point with Buddy Emory on the outside row.
L.W. Miller will start third after the redraw and Myers and Frank Fleming complete the top five.
The green flag for the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified 150 is scheduled to start at 8 p.m.
