Now with all that out of the way.....Let's make some laps!
Surfing Jayski lately, and some interesting "silly season" ride switching rumors are being thrown around. Sterlin Marlin has said he is pretty sure he will not be back with Ganasi in 06. So the talk is, Mcmurray will move to the #40 and Busch series driver David Stremme will move to the #42. But then there is the opening over at Penske Racing with Rusty Wallace's retirement, which Mcmurray has been rumored for awhile to be the "heir apparent" to the #2 ride. If that was to happen, speculation is young Ganasi Racing BGN phenom Reed Sorenson would move to one of the Nextel Cup rides. And in probably the wildest rumor of them all that I saw, Roush Racing who will be needing a replacement for the retirering Mark Martin in the #6 car, is courting Ryan Newman and his crew chief Matt Borland to come over to the Roush camp. Also, longtime Nextel Cup veteran and now Roush Racing Craftsman Truck Series driver Ricky Craven, is rumored as another possible canidate for the #6 ride.
