Name that driver pic...

This picture was graciously donated by RMF, and is certainly a stumper.  Can you name this driver and the significance of this particular car?

I'll try with a half answer and it's probably way off base, but one of the Sylvesters really sticks in my head.  Tom or Tony???????

I can't quite make out the driver, but I'll take another stab at it. Is it Ed Flemke Jr.? If it's not, I've got one more guess.....

The answer is partially correct. It is Ed Flemke, although it's Sr not Jr in this particular picture.   The car in this picture, to the best of my knowledge, is the first SK car built at Sr/Jr's Raceworks shop before Ed Sr's passing.  Ed Jr campaigned this car as an SK at the Thompson Speedway for a season with moderate success.   On this afternoon at Thompson, Ed Sr is trying out the car in warm ups.  RMF
