This driver, a Riverside legend, won 31 features in total at the former Riverside Park Speedway. His very first win there was attained while driving for my father, Mac, in 1950, (substituting for his regular driver Bob Devine). His first championship came in 1952 only two years later. Name this driver....

It makes me proud to know that Jocko, being one of the Riverside greats, actually won his first race at Riverside driving for my Dad. Especially his becoming champ three times in the 50's. Mac tells the story often....You know what I mean, but I guess in this case he has every right too!!!
It was last minute, he can't even remember why Bob Devine was unavailable that Memorial Day weekend in 1950, but Jocko being so close, (a Poughkeepsie native), Mac gave him a call. They came home with the trophy, probably some tire money, and Jocko the desire to keep going back!
