Now with all that out of the way.....Let's make some laps!
Today i went to the famous Lakeville/golden spur speedway, And took pics of this historical place........ we will start with the 1st set of pics from left to right
Hello, I was a race fan out at the Golden Spur track in the early 70's. The pics you have here are pretty nice. When you try to look closer at them the dark surroundings dont help with the fact that the image doesnt get any bigger. Any way is there any remnants of the bleachers along the front straight. yaaa, thats them, the ones that put you 1 foot off being out in the street. It was pretty weird. I liked to watch Deke Astle(befor his Jr. started racing). I would see him at the Spur or Seekonk. He was easy to spot with that cigar hanging out in front of his helmet. Thanks for the walk down memory lane. big john long ago Fall River now Raytown, MO. sixshuta@aol.com
